A.            REQUIREMENT FOR B.P.S. FOR ENGINEERING, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY & COMPUTING SCIENCES

Ph.D. degree in relevant field recognized by HEC in consultation with PEC with 12 years teaching/research experience in a recognized Institution/University at post graduate level or 12 years professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization out of which 05 years must be teaching experience. Must have 15 research publications (with at least 05 publications during last 05 years) in HEC/PEC recognized Journals.

OR

PhD degree in relevant field with 10 years post Ph.D teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a post graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization. Must have 15 research publications (with at least 05 publications during last 05 years) in HEC/PEC recognized Journals

 

FOR SOFTWARE ENGINEERING

Preference will be given to those who having specialization in field of Software Engineering Software Requirement Engineering, Software Architecture, Software Architecture, Software Quality, Software Project Management, Formal Methods, Software Development Methodology, Software Process Engineering and Human Computer Interaction (HCI).

 

B.            REQUIREMENT FOR B.P.S. OTHER THAN ENGINEERING, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND COMPUTING SCIENCES

Ph.D. from an HEC recognized Institution in the relevant field with 15- years teaching/ research in HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization. 15 research publications (with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years), in HEC recognized journals.

OR

PhD degree in relevant field with 10-years post-PhD teaching/ research experience in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization. Must have 15 research publications (with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years), in HEC recognized journals.

 

C.            REQUIREMENTS FOR FIELD OF  LAW & ISLAMIC LAW/ SHARIAH

Ph.D. in Law or equivalent degree from an HEC recognized University/Institution with 15- years teaching/ research experience in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization. Must have 15 publications (with at least 5 publications in last 5 years) in HEC recognized journals.

OR

PhD Law or equivalent with 10-years post-Ph.D, teaching/ research experience in a recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization. D.           REQUIREMENT FOR B.P.S. FOR FIELD OF POLITICS & INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS  

 

Ph.D. from an HEC recognized Institution in the relevant field with 15- years teaching/ research in HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization. 15 research publications (with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years), in HEC recognized journals. Preference will be given to those having specialization in field of Western Political Thoughts, Islamic Political Thoughts, Research Methodology and Public Administration.

OR

PhD degree in relevant field with 10-years post-PhD teaching/ research experience in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization. Must have 15 research publications (with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years), in HEC recognized journals. Preference will be given to those having specialization in field of Western Political Thoughts, Islamic Political Thoughts, Research Methodology and Public Administration.

PhD degree in relevant field with 10-years post-PhD teaching/ research experience in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization. Must have 15 research publications (with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years), in HEC recognized journals. F.            REQUIREMENTS FOR  TTS (ALL DISCIPLINES)

(i)           Ph.D from a recognized and reputable Institution in the relevant field;

(ii)          11-years post-Ph.D experience    OR

7 years post-Ph.D plus 12 years of experience before Ph.D

(3 years before Ph.D = one year post Ph.D in the relevant field) in a recognized university or a post-graduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization;

(iii)         15 research publications (with at least 5 publications in the past 5 years) in internationally abstracted Journals recognized for the purpose of appointment on Tenure Track by the HEC

Ph.D in Law/Islamic Law with 5-years post-PhD teaching/research experience in HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in National or International organization. Must have 10 publications (with at least 4 publications in last five years) in HEC recognized Journals.

 

E.            REQUIREMENTS TTS FOR ALL DISCIPLINES OF ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

 

 (i) Ph.D from a recognized and reputable Institution in the relevant field;

(ii)  6-years post-Ph.D experience

        4 years post-Ph.D plus 6 years of professional experience before Ph.D

REQUIREMENTS ON BPS FOR ALL DISCIPLINES OF ASSISTANT PROFESSORS OTHER THAN ARABIC & LAW

Ph.D in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution.

OR

Master’s degree (foreign) or M.S/M.Phil equivalent degrees awarded after 18 years of education as determined by the HEC in the relevant field from and HEC recognized University/Institution. Four years teaching research experience in a recognized university or a post-graduation Institution or Professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.

 

REQUIREMENTS ON TTS FOR ALL DISCIPLINES OF ASSISTANT PROFESSORS OTHER THAN ARABIC & LAW

 

  • Ph.D from a recognized/accredited institution in the relevant field, PhD thesis must have been evaluated by two foreign experts.
  • Excellent written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills.

 

REQUIREMENTS ON BPS FOR FIELD OF ARABIC

Ph.D in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution.

OR
