Achievements:
Wall Climbing Competition in Adventure Club Pakistan
The wall climbing competition held by Adventure club Pakistan, started at 1330 hrs on Tuesday, 27th September. Different universities from twin cities took part in this event. Our university’s students participated and Shazia ayub secured 2nd position and Ayesha rashid secured 3rd position in the competition. Former minister for tourism and senator, Ms. Nilofar Bakhtiar was the guest of honor to distribute awards among the winners.
 
Bash and Crash Volleyball Championship Organized By Business Linker in Cloud9
Bash and crash volleyball championship organized by Business Linker in Cloud9. Different universities and clubs from twin cities took part in this event. Our university’s team participated and made it to the final round with their best sporty skills. In the final our team was encountered against Team1, in a tough match against our opponents but we made it straight to victory by winning first three sets. The team was coached by Ms. Nadia Mukhtar ( A.S.O).
 
Victory in Fatima Jinnah Women University’s Women’s week, 2011
Fatima Jinnah Women University organized its women’s week. A number of events were arranged during this women’s week, and sports competitions were one of them. Following sports events were organized, as per the facilities available in their premises:

  • Badminton
  • Table Tennis
  • Cricket

These competitions took place between different universities from the twin cities. On the whole the performance of IIUI was very encouraging and the students won the winner’s trophy. The details of each event are as follows:

The closing ceremony for the sports events took place on 9th March 2011. The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Dean of Social Science Department, Director Sports of the host university, coaches and officials. The winning teams were awarded with shields and certificates. The teams which participated in these events on behalf of IIUI were all coached by Miss Nadia Mukhtar, A.S.O.

 
IIUI Secured 2nd Position in overall Universities in SIST- 2011
Shifa Medical College most beautifully organized a competitive event with the title “Let the Competitors Compete” and theme of the whole event was “Best of Both the Worlds”. In all the events IIU students showed vigor and maintained a competitive environment for all of the 25 teams that participated from different institutions like GIKI, Peshawar Medical College, The City School, Quaid-e-Azam University, Bahria University etc.
Names for the two teams were decided by the team members and they were “Immaculate Islamians” and “The Bouncers”.
The event stretched over the period of two days, that is, 12th and 13th February, 2011 which included four different categories with multiple events residing in each of them the categories and their respective events which marked Lawrence for IIU are:

Our students worked really hard and their struggle was matchless and thus they managed to secure 2nd position in the overall event. First position was backed by GIKI and third by Quid-e-Azam University. The teams were supervised and co ordinate by Miss Nadia Mukhtar, Sports Officer. For an overall support and encouragement both teams are grateful to the Director Female Campus, Mrs Quaiserah M. Alvi.

 
Table Tennis
Table Tennis team of Islamic International University, supervised by Ms. Nadia Mukhtar (Sports Officer) participated in an exclusive Youth Carnival organized by Express Media Group. Ms. Afsheen Raja was coach of the team. Ms. Aamna Noreen student of FBAS played 5 matches in total. Winning initial four matches from Air University, NUST, Fatima Jinnah Women University and Behria University, the final contest was played with COMSATS University of Information Technology, which Amna won and entitled for 1st prize. Open Air Theater, near Pakistan Monument was chosen for Prize Distribution Ceremony. Mr. Zulfiqar, senior journalist of Express news, was the Chief Guest.
 
Preston University Gala
IIUI won 2nd position in table tennis and 3rd position in badminton in Preston University Gala held from 25 April to 30 April, 2011 in Sports Complex.
 
Position in All Pakistan Female Basketball Championship 2010-2011
The Championship began on 3rd May 2011 in National
University of Modern Languages Islamabad. Mr. Yahiya Khan,
Director Sports Higher Education Commission was the chief guest
of the opening ceremony.

Female Basket Ball team’s Victory in the EME Olympiad 2010
The event was organized by EME College Rawalpindi. Teams from Different Universities/ Institutions of the twin cities participated in event. IIUI female’s Basket ball team make its way through final. The final match was played against Bahria University Islamabad. Islamic University women’s Basketball team proved its metal and won the EME women’s Basketball Championship. The team players were:
