One-day Workshop on Information Literacy Skills for Library and Information Science Professionals

Information literacy skills play very vital role in strengthening the library users in this age of information explosion and overload. To train the users, it is mandatory for the LIS community to be expert in these skills. Keeping in view the significance of this area, Central Library, IIUI is pleased to announce a one day workshop for LIS professionals and students on “Information Literacy Skills”. The main objective of this activity is to enhance skills among LIS professionals and students in the areas of information literacy competencies, literature research, referencing of information, avoiding plagiarism and using document delivery services.

Mr. Muhammad Sajid Mirza, Senior Librarian, IIUI and Ms. Memoona Kausar, Chief Librarian, Air University, Islamabad will volunteer their services as resource persons.
