MASTERS OF SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

Masters of Supply Chain Management at FMS offers an expansive lock step-program with students taking courses in the cohort model and the curriculum that provides the opportunity to improve upon analytical capabilities, acquire new methods to measure supply chain operations and learn to manage the increasingly global and dispersed supply chain organizations.
The Mastersof Supply Chain Management program is a two academic-year program. Core courses are compulsory and will be offer in fall and spring.

ELIGIBILITY

  1. 16 years education Mini CGPA: 2.50
  2. Preferably graduates of BBA, BS Engineering, BS Telecom, BS Computing programs from accredited institutions
  1. The student must have an undergraduate background of at least 20-semester hours in the Business sciences.

Keeping in view the evolutionary nature of business knowledge, rapidly changing competitive industrial scenario, and sensing future knowledge demands of businesses in Pakistan, especially for those organizations in Logistics / Supply Chain Management and business technologies; F.M.S has decided to launch a two-year program Masters of Supply Chain Management.
The Masters of Supply Chain Management at the Faculty of Management Sciences is designed for students seeking to advance their business education insupply chain management; by acquiring the latest knowledge and working expertise in different elements of the supply chain systems.

The Masters in Supply Chain Management program will provide two streams –
STRATEGIC FOCUS; for those students interested in the Value Chain Creation through strategic SCM Management – with an emphasis in logistics, operations, and procurement;

SYSTEM ANALYSIS; for those students, interested in the value of information technology, and effective ways to use that information in optimizing supply operations and information;

STATE-OF-THE-ART CURRICULUM DESIGN
With a state-of-the-art curriculum, students are exposed to the latest conceptual developments and industry best-practices. Students will learn how these elements work together to create performance-driven operations.

Master of Supply Chain Management is a relatively new interdisciplinary graduate degree that combines advanced coursework in management science(Distribution Network Design, logistics warehousing management, and supply chain strategy) with a set of technology enabled skill courses ( Business Intelligence, data-mining, and ERP software), and a capstone applied industrial project.
MSCM is an exceedingly relevant specialized degree for a wide range of industries based in Islamabad/Rawalpindi i.e. data-warehouses, telecom sector, retail sector, distribution, logistics companies, and development and aid agencies.

The Masters of Supply Chain Management (MSCM) degree is a unique graduate program providing specific deeper knowledge of supply chain practices and technologies, in a structure that it allows it to be completed, while students are working full time.
As logistics and supply chain networks become increasingly complex, with tighter deadlines and greater financial risks from disruptions, supply chain professionals can benefit from additional education and credentials to assist them in their current position or to advance their careers in logistics or supply chain management. A master’s degree in supply chain management will give students the higher-order skills and abilities to think in tandem about the people, processes, and technologies required for world-class integrated supply chain management.
