The 7th annual meeting of the Governing Council of the Iqbal International Institute for Research and Dialogue (IRD), IIUI was held here at Faisal Masjid Campus of the university.
Professor Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, Rector of the university chaired the meeting which was also attended by IIUI President, Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh. Other members of the council who attended the meeting were Senator Nuzhat Sadiq, Federal Education Secretary Muhammad Humayun, and IRD Executive Director, Dr. Husnul Amin.
The meeting approved the annual budget of the institute and reviewed its programs held in previous year and also endorsed its future plans. During the meeting, Fateha was offered for the departed soul of the veteran IIUI scholar and former IRD Executive Director, Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed. The members paid rich tributes to Dr. Mumtaz for his academic contributions and achievements.
